Well, those bottles of rum certainly went down a treat—especially for Inappropriate, who decided he’d earned a well-deserved lay-in after all his “hard work” .
But then… what was that strange noise?
At first, he brushed it off, letting the dogs handle whatever business was going on. But soon enough, it became clear—it wasn’t the dogs at all. It was Lil’A and Rich, already hard at work on the ship . Awkward? Just a bit!
Before long, Rich had Inappropriate back on his feet and (somewhat) back to work. And while to the untrained eye it may have looked like he was casually resting his head on the helm, from the right angle, you could see he was actually tightening it up with a spanner! (Honestly, he swears that’s the truth!)
With Inappropriate back in action, the team kicked it into high gear, adding sturdy boards to the deck and stairs leading up to the helm. Lil’A, ever the power tool enthusiast, took command of the mighty drill, while @lego_dad_and_the_kids masterfully directed the rebuild. Meanwhile, Inappropriate played the role of general laborer—waiting for the rum to wear off.
By the end of the day, they’d even managed to add some fine detailing to the bow. But with the last drop of rum long gone, it was officially time to call it a night. No celebratory drinks this time, unfortunately.
All in all, the team has made some fantastic progress this weekend!
