I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t managed to find time to build any of the awesome lego sets I’ve been buying. Luckily though, this weekend we have finally had a quiet one, so I decided to build this fantastic little Ideas set, 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures!
The first thing that struck me about this set was that the box art was gorgeous, so fun and exciting. I really likes how the set name was shown on what looked like the torn inside of a cardboard box, really nice touch.
The set itself has so many lovely little touches which took me back to my childhood, making my own fun out of old cardboard boxes, imagining that I was a astronaut in a make shift space ship. Gave me a real happy feeling the whole time I was building it.
There were lots of other fun features, like the toy soldiers on the bedroom floor, and the teddy bear in a makeshift space robot suit. The stars and space rocket on the bedroom walls were a nice touch too.
The space rocket itself was great, with its 4 old drink cans for thrusters, and how it had space for the little boy and the pet cat.
I really recommend this set if you get a chance to get your hands on one, its got a real feel good factor about it. Feel free to watch the instagram video of the set above if you have the time, let me know what you think in the comments.
