I’m in love with Fantastic Medieval Blacksmith set!

Recently I have started building this amazing set, 21325 Lego® Ideas, Medieval Blacksmith! I bought it on day of release and it has been sitting in my pile of shame ever since. Then finally I got round to retiring some of the sets I had on display, to make room for something new, and this had to be high up on the list.

Just starting with the box art, its really nicely designed with the black background, gorgeous photo scene of the finished product, and even a Ye Olde type font used for the set name.

I was surprised at how heavy the box was, and when i opened it, it was rammed with bricks, 14 lovely numbered bags of them. Also a great big book of instructions with some nice information about the set at the front of it.

I couldn’t wait to get stuck in and immediately built the Blacksmith, and found his Dog too. Love his long hair and beard combo, and the overalls look good too. He even has a cool facial expression.

The rest of the first bag built up the base for the set, but in quite an interesting fashion. Not the standard way as with so many other sets, so that was really refreshing.

There were so many amazing features in this build, its definitely one of my favourites, and it was such a pleasure to build. I would recommend this set to anyone. I love how the light brick is used to make the furnace glow, its a really nice touch.

There was a bear skin rug in the bedroom, a log store, vegetable patch and so many other amazing little details. And that without even starting on the actual blacksmith area.
